Do you mean a recording of the music used, or just the music of the soundtrack of the film?

I'm sorry - I meant a recording. I can't read sheet music! :)

Thanks!

Right, but do you want the music taken straight out of the film, or a totally seperate recording done of it? I know some scenes where you can get the music with no extraneous dialog/sounds.

I guess I could do either - I was hoping for the tracks themselves - but I could just as easily take it off an existing film if there's no dialog over it!

Thanks for the help!

I recommend "Emotional (im)Maturity": http://www.archive.org/details/Emotiona1957

It's got a "plucky" (To me) sounding tune at the beginning with absolutely no narration or any sounds over top of it. Also, ask Spuzz about the name of the tune, since he seems to know about the company behind it. I used to cut out interesting sounds from films where I could. There's a great "suspense" theme in "Bank Alarm"/"Captain Calamity" in Feature Films.

I think an archive of film soundtracks would be a great idea. Id love to listen to the songs from "design for dreaming" and "chevrolet sales convention musical" when im on my walk.

"Century 21 Calling" also has a good amount of uninterrupted "holiday for strings" style music.
